What’s that you say?

Fascinated by what can become of life’s school of hard knocks, Dr. Artina Ray’s quest for answers related to life’s purpose and the meaning of it all persists by asking the difficult questions and facing the ugly truths. Although staying busy and dealing with day-to-day tasks may be much easier than asking difficult questions or facing ugly truths; somewhere in the back of our minds, these questions and truths keep us up at night. Avoidance of the inevitable can only last for so long. Eventually, something existential will arise in our lived experience that pushes us to step toward this reality. As a survivor of domestic violence beginning at the age of 14 to becoming a teen parent by the age of 17, and throughout decades of living life in survival mode as a single parent, Dr. Artina Ray refuses to give up hope on living the best and most fulfilled life by pushing back as a woman of color, culture, depth, and wisdom and continues to pursue a personal truth; accepting that there is no true destiny where complete fulfillment and peace of mind will be found. Fulfillment and peace of mind are discovered in the journey itself. “What’s That You Say?” was created by Dr. Artina Ray to offer a platform where these questions and truths can be openly shared, discussed, and reflected upon as a means of bringing clarity, peace of mind, and a sense of serenity during difficult times. Despite 15 successful years of academia studying Philosophy, Psychology, Religion, Mythology, Pastoral Care, Quantum Physics, Epigenetics, Health & Nutrition, Bioenergetics, and Holistic Health, Dr. Artina Ray insists that human connection through the heart provides for endurance - opening the pathway to resilience and whole-person healing. Dr. Artina Ray brings insight, compassion, psychoeducation, and person-centered care to the table offering tools and strategies to answer questions, offer support, and bring clarity to confusion or chaos. From trauma to addictions to domestic violence and socially constructed ideologies, Dr. Artina Ray offers support and guidance as a Doctor of Natural Medicine, Pastoral Counselor/Director, and Addiction Counselor for the seekers and the curious who find themselves struggling with unanswered questions. Dr. Artina Ray introduces topics of discussion and questions most often reflected upon throughout her professional career as a Chaplain, Counselor, Life Coach, and Addiction Counselor. If you find yourself interested in participating in an open discussion to reflect on any shared topic and if you have a willingness to join this Podcast for a live discussion, reach out to Dr. Artina Ray by sending an email to: iam.one@mysticalserpentine.com.
